Alexander Muret

Born in New York, where he lives and works now. Solo and two-person exhibitions include Write Large and Thick (Appointment Only, Los Angeles, 2017) and MURET NOW HOSAKA IdEA with Goichi Hosaka (Utrecht NOW IDeA, Tokyo, 2017). Recent group exhibitions include Good Taste (Good Taste, New York, 2018) and From Out Under (Appointment Only, Los Angeles, 2017). In 2016, Muret collaborated on La Collection de Paris with Hedi Slimane for his final collection as creative director of fashion house Saint Laurent, presented at the historic Hôtel de Sénecterre in Paris, France. Muret’s work has been featured in publications such as Interview Germany, Purple, Dazed, Autre, Vogue, and Little Star Journal, among others. His illustrated and self-published books can be found at Printed Matter in New York, Utrecht / NOW IDeA in Tokyo and the Watari-Um Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan.
