Born in 1978, in Minsk, Belarus. Lives and works between Paris and Portugal.

Alex Kuznetsov has focused on abstract painting since 2010. Working primarily with acrylic and industrial tools, he explores the relationship between colour, layered surfaces and physical gesture. His paintings retain the pressure and movement of the aluminium straightedge used to make them.

His solo exhibitions include presentations at the National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Minsk, Triumph Gallery in Moscow, and Speerstra Gallery in Switzerland and Paris. In 2026, he presented Gravity, a duo exhibition with L’Atlas at HD Galerie in Paris, and Afterimage / Condition at Galerie Diego Escobar in Marseille.

His work has been presented at San Francisco Art Fair, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary and viennacontemporary. His paintings are held in private collections across Europe, the United States and Asia.
